TUSD STUDENTS AND FAMILIES INVITED TO 2ND ANNUAL FARM TO FAMILY FEAST ON DECEMBER 28TH FROM 11AM-1:30PM @ CUNNINGHAM, JULIEN, AND OSBORN
Have you heard? Turlock Unified School District (TUSD) and City of Turlock have partnered to host its second annual Farm to Family Feast on December 28th. ‘Tis the season to rejoice and celebrate, and there’s no better way to kick-off the new year than gathering together as a community to enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal for those most in need. Lunch will be compromised of local, fresh foods – much of which is donated by local T-Town area businesses.
Farm to Family Feast will take place at three of our local elementary schools –Julien, Osborn and Cunningham from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM to accommodate students and families who need additional support during the holiday break. Along with a delicious meal, each school will hold a raffle for a brand new bike, all of which were generously donated by Walmart. Yup, you heard that right – free bike raffle!
“We want to make sure the needs of our students and families are met during the holiday season,” mentions TUSD Superintendent Dana Salles Trevethan. “This is a great opportunity to stay connected and visit with our students and families during the long break while partnering with our City Officials.”
As a reminder, the lunch is open to any and all of the TUSD students and their families – regardless of where the student attends school. We can’t forget to give a shout-out to the sponsors! Woo Hoo for Aglink, J&D Foods, Sysco Central Valley, P&R Paper, RICH Products, Fresno Produce and Crystal Dairy. Thanks for helping us make a difference and your generous support!
