Summer School & Enrichment Program

Turlock Christian School

Summer Eagle Day camp: (Grades 1-6) June 4—August 14, M– F

Summer Enrichment Courses (Grades 1-6) Session 2 July 9 — 26, M-Th

Our summer enrichment program offers childcare daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m, except for holidays. Children may come for a day, a week, or for the whole summer. The structured program hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The daily programs for Monday through Thursday include light academics, computer lab time, play, story time, music, movies, crafts, reading, and much more. An important part of our program is our daily devotional and prayer time. Each Monday through Thursday afternoon, the students have a great time swimming at the Turlock High School pool. Admission is covered by tuition. Friday is field trip day! Students travel to various points of interest via bus. There are additional charges associated with these trips.

JH/HS Summer Enrichment Program

Turlock Christian School

June 11-28 or July 2-19 M-TH

The purpose of this program is to provide students with opportunities to expand learning during the summer months, improve a grade, and to earn course credit. Non-TCS students may take classes but it is UP TO THEIR SCHOOL if they will earn credit. Classes are offered in two sessions: June 11-28 or July 2-19 M-TH  from 8-9:45am and 10-12pm. Classes offered are Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Adv. Algebra, Geometry or Pre-Calculus), and the following online classes: English, History, Science, Bible. Tae Kwon Do, Shooting and Firearm Safety, and Wrestling will also be offered.

Students will uncover their “inner artist” through a variety of drawing, painting, sculpting, crafting, and printmaking activities. This camp will provide lots of opportunity for fun and creative expression while exploring the wide world of art.

Learning a variety of drawing techniques, young artists will create images to tell stories in their own unique style.

  • Masterpieces

July 9 – 13 and August 6 – 10

Monday through Friday from 9AM-Noon

Exploring the styles and famous works of master artists will lead to the creation of your own masterpieces. Inspiration from the likes of Matisse, Monet, and Michelangelo will take the young artist’s imagination to new heights.

Students will use a variety of fun and creative materials to explore the wide world of comics. From understanding the techniques of artists from Marvel and DC to imagining their own unique heroes and villains, there are exciting universes to explore!

Students will learn the elements of design and principles of composition while exploring the work of the world’s great artists. Media will include graphite, charcoal, conte crayon, chalk, pastels and more!

Take your drawing to a whole new level as you work on elements of the human figure and portraiture. Anatomy and personality will be explored in a variety of media.

Learn and refine skills in different painting mediums. Students will work with a variety of materials, learn new techniques, and explore works by some of the great masters for inspiration.

Summer Music & Theatre Camp

June 17-22, 9AM-3PM

LightBox Theatre Company is launching its first summer camp for students ages 9-18! No experience needed. Come for a week of fun, theater, and music! Students will take classes with LightBox actors and directors! Students will take part in creating scenes and taking elective classes throughout the week with a final performance on the evening
of Friday, June 22.
Class options include Stage Combat, How to Sing Like a Broadway Star, Who’s Line Is it Anyway? Mindful Movement, Acting Fundamentals, So You Think You Can Dance? and Character Development. Camp will be held at the Stanislaus State Main Stage Theatre.

Rembrandt and Rosé Art & Fun Camp

CUPS Performing Arts Camp

The CUPS ministry will offer performing arts training for all levels and genres this summer in a two-week training camp June 18-21 & June 25-28. Students will be able to enhance their skills in a multitude of classes including (but not limited to) Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Tambourines, Flags, Tap, Acting, Voice, Music, and Aerial.  Ages 3 through adult are welcome to participate in these low cost – Christ centered classes that emphasize a heart of worship. Students will showcase their skills at a Summer Festival that will be held at the end of the two-week session on Thursday, June 28th at Turlock Community Theatre. This camp offers a high level of training and is designed for elite level volleyball players who want to prepare for collegiate volleyball. They will focus on learning techniques through instruction, demonstrations and quality repetitions. At the Stanislaus State Warriors Basketball Camp, the goal is to provide a complete basketball experience emphasizing fundamentals in order to help boys ages 7-14 reach their full potential. Campers will be placed in age/skill appropriate groups. Proper shooting techniques as well as footwork will be highlighted. Individual and team skills will also be focused on during the week.

Contests will be held and awards presented at the conclusion of camp.

Bulldog Basketball Camp 1 & 2

Come and join local area coaches and players for the fifth annual Bulldog Basketball Camp held at the Turlock High Main Gym. Camp 1 will be held June 5th-June 7th from 9:00am to Noon for ages 7-10 or 1pm to 4pm for ages 11-14. Camp 2 will be held July 10th – July 12th from 9am-Noon for ages 7-14. Each camper will learn and develop the basic fundamentals, and sportsmanship needed to play and enjoy basketball. Campers will be divided into teams by age and ability for maximum participation and enjoyment.

Work with the Warriors’ coaching staff as a team in the Stan State basketball team camp. Fundamentals, team drills, defensive schemes, shooting techniques as well as footwork will be highlighted. Teams will play a guarantee of four games.

Warrior All Sports Summer Camp

Why play one sport when you can play them all! Over 16 sports and activities will be offered—soccer, basketball, track and field, badminton, Frisbee, golf, Futsal, hockey, flag football, softball, baseball, team handball, capture the flag, dodgeball — and many other games and fun activities. Each day your child will be placed in a group according to age, size, and ability. Each group will experience a series of different activities every day, culminating in a mini-Olympic tournament on the final day. Your child will become involved in a whole series of team and individual sports activities that are exciting and lots of fun! Every child will be introduced to the techniques and skills required in each sport.

Boys & Girls Youth Soccer Camp I & II

Youth Camps are designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 13 of all levels (AYSO, CYSA, etc..). Players are divided into training groups based on their experience and ability. The main focus is on individual technical development and small group tactics. Recreation, Select, and Competitive teams are welcome to train together for team tactics instruction (age appropriate), in addition to learning technical development and small group tactics. There will also be permanent teams participating in a competitive World Cup tournament each day, with prizes for top finishing teams.

Camp 3:56 desires to reach kids who need the opportunity to experience life “outside the box”. With equal parts “fun” and Biblical teaching, they desire to “reach every camper with every available source”. They believe a week at camp can lead youth and children into closer relationship with Christ as well as positive role models. There will be horseback riding, hiking, fishing, boating, wilderness training, ropes and rock climbing, and a lot more!

Summer on the Seas: Preschool Summer Camp

Each week will have a different type of ocean focus for our theme. Learning continues in the Summer! We will still spend time working on the alphabet, numbers, and Bible time! Mondays OR Thursdays are Activity Days & Tuesdays and Fridays are Water Days. All students (even infants) will receive a Summer on the Seas T-Shirt with your Summer Fun Fee. Infants and toddlers will participate with our activities, as they are able. Some activities will include a modified presentation for their age. Summer adventures include: Bounce House, Petting Zoo, Puppet Show, Dance Party, Bike Parade, Pony Rides, Freckles the Clown, and more!

The Salvation Army Turlock Corps DAY camp is Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 6:00PM. Within this program, kids will have two snacks and a meal every day. They will engage in crafts, swimming, Vacation Bible School, gym activities, movies, a few field trips, gardening, the game room, and other summer activities.

The Little Lights Preschool summer camp is a wonderful addition to their school year, providing the opportunity for students to continue learning while having fun!

Campers will enjoy fun activities such as Circus Week, Freckles the Clown, making shaved ice, a petting zoo, water play, summer-time science activities, and even a field trip to the local library.
