Family Friday: Day of the Dead Celebration

Kick off the season with this family oriented celebration! You’ll enjoy music, dancing, crafts, and even learn about the traditions of the Day of the Dead holiday! Plus it’s totally free!

 

Halloween Story Time

Turlock Library

4pm-5pm

This will get you and the kiddos in the spooky spirit! A special craft and the Friends of the Turlock Library’s Trick-or-Treat Parade will follow this Halloween-themed Preschool Story Time! Free for everyone to attend – dead or alive…

 

Downtown Ghost Walk

7pm-8pm

The spookiest thing to do this Halloween is to take the Downtown Turlock Ghost Walk with the Turlock Historical Society! They will take you on a tour of T-town’s historic buildings and teach you about some of their haunted histories – you may even see a ghost! You can buy tickets at Main Street Antiques for $25 or call (209) 669- 7000. Spots are limited so order fast!

 

Trunk or Treat

First United Methodist Church

3pm-5pm

Trunk or Treat!! Enjoy all the Hallows Eve fun, and none of the scary shenanigans, with the whole fam! Free to attend, there will be games, decorated cars, and tons of candy for everyone.

 

Turlock Library Day of the Dead

4pm-5pm

The Day of the Dead festivities continues at the Turlock Library! After some light reading, you’ll get to decorate 3-D printed skulls and create marigold crafts in honor of your ancestors. And the biggest treat of all is that it’s free!

 

Halloween Pit Stop

Turlock Free Methodist Church

4pm-9pm

The night is long and the journey is full of rewards, but we all need a pit stop! Take a break at Turlock Free Methodist Church for parking, refreshments, and pictures before you head back out into the night. The kids will love getting a hot dog before stocking up on more candy!

 

Safe Night

The Salvation Army

5pm-7:30pm

Our local Salvation Army is hosting Safe Night – a family friendly non-scary event! Totally free, you and the kids can enjoy games, prizes, food, and be back before bedtime!

 

Marilyn’s Ghost

The Udder Place

9pm

They may not be real ghosts, but their harmonies are hauntingly good! Marilyn’s Ghost will be performing an array of New Country and Americana at Udder Place on Halloween Night. Stop by for a drink and a chill vibe with your friends.
