Ava takes a Nintendo Switch stealing Hermes on a journey through the myths about his boxing, deceiving, thieving, and being ninja-like.
Sixth-grader Ava comes home after school one day and catches the Ancient Greek god Hermes red handed trying to steal her Nintendo Switch. Turns out Hermes has been stealing all the Nintendo Switches from around the world, intending to take them back to Ancient Greece where he’ll give them to kids so they’ll think he’s cool. It also turns out that Ava is Hermes’ biggest fan in the 21st Century, and she sets out to convince him that he’s not a lesser god who needs to bribe kids to think he’s cool – he is cool! He’s the ancient god of boxers, deceivers, thieves, and ninjas! And Ava’s going to prove it to him! So she takes Hermes on a journey through the myths about his boxing, deceiving, thieving, and being ninja-like. Along the way we meet the gods Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Artemis, Poseidon, and Hades; the heroes Odysseus, Hercules, Achilles, and Hector; and a talking turtle, talking cow, and a clever girl who slays at making spanakopita. The big question is: Will Ava convince Hermes or will Hermes stick to his Switch-stealing plan?
