Friends of the Turlock Public Library Fundraiser

The Turlock Library is a community resource like no other. It’s a place to think, learn and listen to each other. At the library, books can be checked out. Computers and Internet access are provided. There are comfortable places to study or sit and think. It’s a place to join others and learn through programs and lectures that are current and timeless, local and global.

It’s a place for everyone. It’s free to all.

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors approved the $12.7M construction project in 2020. The Friends of the Turlock Public Library (FOTPL) launched the “Focusing on the Future of the Turlock Library 2020” fundraising campaign in March. The campaign will purchase technology upgrades, architectural embellishments and furnishings for the expanded library. Half of the targeted $1M campaign goal will be used for the ongoing success and sustainability of the Turlock Library.

The Fundraising Committee, chaired by John and Jeani Ferrari, is excited to announce that seven of the nine spaces in the expanded library have been named. The Community Room and Adult Library – Resource Center are the two rooms that are waiting to be named. The Founders Wall and Community Wall, new to the library, have secured $700,000 in pledged donations. The two walls will be permanent signage in the library. Donations of $100 and above will be recognized on the walls; donors can memorialize and honor family and friends.

The fundraising campaign will end on February 14, 2021. For more information on how you, or your family, business or non-profit can donate, please contact FOTPL at PO Box 1260, Turlock, CA 95381-1260 or [email protected].
